Challenge Swimhikes

Swimhiking can be a gentle activity, but it can also be hard, exhausting even.  So if that appeals…

The Frog Graham Round

Inspired by the Bob Graham Round, the Frog Graham route links a number of summits in the North West of the Lake District via four lake crossings.  Those who complete the loop are eligible to join the Frog Graham Round Club

The Frog Graham website gives full information on the Round including safety advice and environmental stipulations.

Successful Frog Graham contenders have gone on to create other challenge rounds including the Puddle Buckley and the formidable FrogMan.

In February 2023 I asked ChatGPT about the Frog Graham Round, and this is what it said.

Grisedale Tarn and Red Tarn

This route takes in Saint Sunday Crag, Fairfield and Hellvellyn as well as two high level tarns. Aside from The Frog Graham, it is the most challenging route in Swimhiking in the Lake District and North East England

The Six Lochs of Glen Trool

The route covers the some of the wildest terrain in Galloway:  the Rig of the Jarkness, Merrick and the Awful Hand.  In between lie six beautiful lochs.  It is the most challenging route in Swimhiking in Britain and Europe
